Guatemala

CMRC partners with Guatemala Bible Seminary to co-produce video courses for pastors and church leaders in Latin American countries where educational resources are in short supply.

How it Began

Guatemala is the third largest country in Central America and has one of the biggest gaps between the rich and the poor. This is a key reason CMRC reached out to partner with Seminario Biblico Guatemalteco (Guatemala Bible Seminary), located in the city of Chimaltenango, one hour from the Capital of Guatemala City.

A few years ago, CMRC brought Professor César Arreaga to Canada to study television production at the Crossroads Television Studios in Burlington, Ontario. The intensive course equipped César with knowledge and along with the technical/production resources we provided, he began teaching media at the seminary. To date CMRC and GBS have produced video courses encompassing Eschatology, Pastoral Psychology, Pastoral Ecclesiology, Hermeneutics, Pastoral Counselling, and How to Study the Bible. These courses are given out freely to any church or pastor. It is our desire to continue producing these valuable courses as funding becomes available.
